Shipping 

We ship all orders FREE FedEx Next Day Air within the USA, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

Please allow 24 hours for your order to process. Orders placed by noon Mountain Time usually ship the same day but we cannot guarantee that an order will ship the same day it is placed. Orders do not ship on weekends. Customer is responsible for ensuring that FedEx can deliver to specified shipping address.

 

Returns

All alternators are returnable for full credit within 30 days (except certain special order and discontinued items that have been identified as "No Return"). If you're not satisfied with an starter / alternator or you just decide you don't need it, all returns must have a Return Authorization number that is issued by Starter Pros. You can obtain return instructions by calling our toll free number or by sending us an e-mail to customerservice@alternatorpros.com (in your email, please tell us your order number, the part number and the reason for the return). If an alternator doesn't fit, don't try to "make it fit" and risk damaging the starter / alternator or your car (or yourself). We won't accept responsibility for any costs exceeding the cost of the starter / alternator (and you don't need the aggravation of doing a job twice!) so please inspect the starter / alternator before you start the repair.

 

Returned items must be complete, clean and unused, and in their original packaging. Please don't paint the starter / alternator, install the stater / alternator or throw away the box until you're sure the starter / alternator you have is the part you need! Please do not write on or alter the box in any way. We cannot issue return credit for starters / alternators which have been installed, painted, modified or returned without their original packaging.

 

If you decide you don't need the starter / alternator, we don't mind taking it back but we can't recover the shipping cost. Customer is responsible for the returned shipping costs. If you refuse delivery or the carrier returns a package because you provided an invalid address, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Refunds can take up to 5 business days to be issued. Providing us with a return tracking number will ensure a faster refund. Refunds will be issued in the same form as you paid, (i.e. Credit card payments will receive credit to the same card used to place the order). You will receive email confirmation when the refund has been issued.

 

Cores

Some starters / alternators we sell have a core charge associated with them.

The core charge is a deposit to encourage the return of old starter / alternator to be remanufactured. You pay the core charge when you place your order. If you return the old starter / alternator to us, we refund the core charge.  To receive credit, cores must be returned within 30 days of the date your order was placed. Cores must be complete, rebuildable, fit the same vehicle application and be returned in the box the remanufactured starter / alternator came in. This means the starter / alternator you send back needs to have whatever components (like pulleys) came on the remanufactured starter / alternator. Shipping charges for returned cores are the responsibility of the customer and are non- refundable. As with any return, before returning a core you must obtain a Return Authorization number and follow return instructions by contacting us prior to sending the merchandise back.

 

Warranties

All our products carry a LLT warranty.

LENGTH OF WARRANTY

The Limited Lifetime Warranty is issued to the original purchaser of the starter / alternator and owner of the automobile on which the starter / alternator is installed and in nontransferable.  Starter Pros warrants that if the part that you purchased fails as a result of defective workmanship or material and or wears out we will replace such starter / alternator.

 

WHERE AND HOW WILL THE WARRANTY BE HONORED?

All starters / alternators under warranty must be returned to Starter Pros along with the original sales receipt and the warranty card that was given to you at the time of purchase in order for the warranty to be valid.

 

All starters / alternators do wear out.  This warranty is designed to protect you, the purchaser against defects and premature failure, not to provide free unlimited replacement parts which fail through normal use.

 

DISCLAIMER AND EXCLUSIONS TO COVERAGE APPLICABLE TO ALL ABOVE WARRANTIES

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO PARTS IF:

               

1.             Installed in vehicles used commercially or for racing.

 

2.             Modified, abused, altered, improperly installed, or damaged by accident, negligence or misuse.

 

 

THE WARRANTY EXCLUDES

               

1.             Transportation expenses.

2.             Compensation for any inconvenience or loss of use of the part.

3.             Reimbursement for a rental car, for time off work, loss of income, towing charges, legal fees, or   

                any other consequential damages.

4.             The cost of labor or any other parts required to remove the defective or worn out part.

 

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY REPRESENTS THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF STARTER PROS FOR ANY WARRANTED PART, AND ALTERNATOR PROS MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  STARTER PROS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES.
